For a time was mayor of Mendota, near the Coit Ranch. Later lived in Palo Alto, Ca. where he was a buyer at Lockheed. In 1995, living in Aptos, CA.

      Mr. Coit is son of Mr. Roger Coit, treasurer of Alameda County. He is a graduate of Oakland High School and attended the University of California at Berkeley, He is a west side San Joaquin Valley rancher and store proprietor.
      After a honeymoon at Lake Tahoe and Northern California, the couple are making their home on the Coit Ranch, near Mendota, in California.
