RAYMOND, Robert King "Bob" passed away at home in Wake Forest, NC, May 18, 2016. He was born Aug. 2, 1943 in St. Petersburg, the youngest of Col. Allen and Mrs Clara Raymond's eight children. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nan, and brother, Bill. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest, Saturday, May 21, at 11 am with burial immediately following at Wake Forest Cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley; daughters, Lorie (David Speight), and Tricia (Lonni Mahoney), and son, Bob (Diane Ortli); grandchildren, Andrew, Steven, David, and Danny Sanders; Bryce, Kristen, and Patrick Lanning; Grant, Chris, Addison, and Marin Raymond; his other sister, four remaining brothers, and their multitudinous children and grandchildren. Bob graduated from Bishop Barry High School in St. Petersburg in 1961 and immediately joined the U.S. Army, serving in the 503rd Infantry 2nd Airborne Brigade until 1963. He worked his way through St. Petersburg Junior College and The University of South Florida as a milkman for Hood's Dairy from 1963-1972. Bob earned his MBA from Duke University in 1986. He worked as a manager with Electronic Data Systems from 1972-1993. He owned and operated Uniglobe King Travel from 1993-2006 and was an SBA Counselor from 2006-2008. Bob was a member of Kiwanis in Avon Lake, OH, and Wake Forest, NC, serving as President of the Avon Lake club.
